I was introduced to his comedy when during my "in-between days", right after dropping out of Computer Engineering and before I enrolled on a Multimedia course. I was awfully depressed during that time (if you think I'm looking like shit now, back then was a much worse period), taking my aggression on fighting and shooting games and trying to create the All-Filipino Video Game as some kind of middle finger on the establishment that rejected me.

Then a buddy of mine gave me a CD of his stuff, and man did it change me. I used to suspect that the universe was picking on me. I discovered that the universe is just horrible like that, nothing too bad about it. I used to think that the establishment needs improvement. I realized that it has to suck, or else nothing would seem right.

What his humor has taught me were not particularly pleasant views on modern life. But it did make me feel better about myself. I no longer feel like it's my fault why the universe sucks. I don't have to carry the world on my shoulders, no longer should I feel obliged to try redirecting its course. Well, yeah, I guess I could have a jab at it... but if it don't budge, it's not my fault it's acting so stupid. For the first time in more than a decade, I felt a tremendous amount of inner peace, and on top of that I learned why it's kinda stupid to name your lawnmower "TEH SNAPPER" and the usage of the word "fuck"

Yes. He made the world darker, but in the darkness I have found The Void. And in The Void, I saw all things.

Now who do we have left, Lewis Black? Dennis Leary? Hm...

Enough pseudo-philosophical drama, and back to the quirky lolz stuff.

Last time I went to church a bunch of kids had the idea of dressing up in "jesus robes" and dancing in front of the altar during song routines. Funny thing about it is they keep doing Dio's Metal Devil Horns hand gestures while they're at it. Maybe they're unaware that "I Love You" in sign language requires you to stick your thumb out together with the index and pinky fingers. But then again...

I guess Jack Black's right about the Metal, baby. You can't kill the Metal... the Metal will live on... even in church!
